It’s been a month of focusing on the ‘behind-the-scenes’ of LNP. With a little bit of downtime thrown in, before Spring hits. We had Shrove Saturday (rather than Shrove Tuesday), got together as a family, lit the fire pit, made pancakes and toasted marshmallows as the sun went down. Bliss! And crazy that it wasn’t raining or freezing cold – it was February after all!
After announcing the official release of Mentorship Days for Professional Photographers back in January, the webpage with all of the information is now live, and can be found at https://www.lucynewsonphotography.co.uk/mentorshipforphotographers/ . The Mentorship Days are a bespoke 1:1 experience – perfect for photographers working in the country lifestyle space (agriculture, families in the countryside, equines or canines), focused on them and their business.
I’ve also been working away on the online course – “Capturing Your Own Moments”. I’ve had so much fun creating this course and I am so excited for it to launch. It’s focused on helping you to capture life’s moments when a photographer isn’t there – using your phone, or the camera that has been hiding at the back of your wardrobe.
I have improved the image storage systems for LNP. It was as exciting as it sounds… but super important and I am really happy with the outcome. As a photographer, I have a lot of image files that need to be safely stored – I never delete files and I still have the photographs taken when the business first started, just incase my clients needed to access them again in years to come.
What else happened in February?
I’ve had some lovely Enquiry & Creative calls for photoshoots and mentorships in 2023.
I completed an article on Mailing Lists for Professional Photo Magazine which is to be printed in an upcoming issue.
I had a full day’s Director Board Meeting with The BIPP – discussing exciting plans for The British Institute of Professional Photography for 2023.
I’ve shortlisted some potential photographs to put towards my Associateship qualification with The BIPP, and had a discussion with my mentor about the next steps.
