Behind The Scenes

For a long while I had wanted to do a photoshoot to create an entirely black & white imagery collection. I love that when you remove colour it draws your eye immediately into the storytelling of the photograph, leaving no distractions. When photographing without colour, it challenges and encourages the photographer to focus on other elements of the photo in closer detail; such as textures, composition, and the use of light.

Myself and Gracie (well known as @pony_nuts on instagram) collaborated together for this photoshoot. Over the 3 hours we utilised the afternoon and evening light to capture Gracie & her animals at home, with a variety of outfits to complement the storytelling. It was a brilliant photoshoot, filled with animals, creativity and laughter.
