Closing The Chapter on 2023

Behind The Scenes

This year as the months rolled by, I wrote a list of any achievements I made; mainly small wins, but also a few big goals that had been a focus of my business since the very beginning. When self employed, it can be quite tempting to power through the year, and you can easily miss milestones and achievements – so after taking inspiration from one to many Instagram Reels, I wrote a list.

Today, 31st December, I sat down with a cup of tea, to read them. I felt so proud that I wrote “Re-read through my Achievements List and felt proud.” on my Achievements List… is this the same as putting ‘Write to do list’ as the first job on your to do list?! Yes… well never mind, I do that too!

Incase you were wondering what made the list, here are a few;

Photographed a newborn inside a cowboy hat.
Launched The Rural Journal
Hosted an oversees mentorship session over zoom with a photographer in South Africa
Booked by a client in the US, for a photoshoot in Exmoor
Tweed & I took a road trip to Exmoor
Photograph featured in Good House Keeping Magazine
Achieved Associateship

I cannot wait to see what 2024 has planned, and the adventures that are yet to come.
