What happens if it rains on the day of your Photoshoot?

FAQs

“Rain, rain, go away
Come again some other day
We want to go outside and play
Come again some other day.”

As a photographer, by default, you become a weather expert. I am forever looking out the window and saying to anyone that will listen “This would be the perfect weather to capture XYZ.” In fact, one of the most well used apps on my phone is the Weather App.

Fog, snow, dappled sunlight & cloud all create perfect natural lighting and wonderful weather conditions for beautiful imagery. Rain can also be used to capture some very special moments – I’m thinking bright coloured wellies and splashing in puddles. However it is not quite as fun being outside having a photoshoot in the pouring rain.

With this in mind, if it is looking to rain on your photoshoot day, we can reschedule (at no extra cost).

I will be in touch with you the day before your photoshoot to discuss the weather, and we can reschedule to a new nearby date if necessary. When filling the diary for the year I always leave a selection of dates clear, incase of weather rescheduling.

However, if the photoshoot has to go ahead that day, please do not worry. We can utilise the location around you to shelter from the rain, and capture the most beautiful moments. I’m thinking barns, archways, tree canopies, stables and shelters.

My camera has its very own waterproof jacket so we are ready to go!
