Had an amazing photoshoot of Ralph with Lucy! She was so patient and got on really well with him! I’m absolutely thrilled with the photographs I received…
The possibilities for a canine photoshoot are endless – your dog can have the spotlight, you can have photographs with them or if they are the family dog, why not get everyone involved?
Together we can choose a location that feels like home and is an important place for both you and your dog, be it a country park, beach or your home (if you have lots of outside space). The possibilities truly are endless!
A canine photoshoot is all about having fun. Your dog will be encouraged to play, as capturing their entire personality in one photograph through their posture and facial expression is truly magical. The entire process is relaxed, friendly and heart warming. I truly believe that our entire lives should be spent collecting memories such as these.
Having a photoshoot with your dog is a perfect way not only to capture special memories of your bond for a lifetime, but also to create incredible pieces of wall art for your home. A piece of art that is guaranteed to make you smile and give you a warm feeling every time you look at it; this just cannot be beaten.
Included in your photoshoot:
- Welcome Pack – you will receive this after making your booking to give you advice on pre-photoshoot preparation, inspiration, styles and so much more!
- Pre-Shoot Consultation – I will give you a call the week before your photoshoot to answer any questions you may have and to confirm all details
- 1hr Photoshoot – focused on capturing a range of different photographs with enough time for 1-2 outfit changes if you would like to be in the photographs
- In-Person Private Viewing and Ordering Session – held a week or so after your photoshoot, I will show you all your images for you to choose from and can advise on wall art. The perfect time for the whole family to sit together and choose their favourites with you.
What happens if it is raining on the day of my photoshoot?
As the majority of photoshoots I run are outdoors, I spend a lot of time checking the weather forecast! If rain is due on the day of your photoshoot, I will call or email a few days before to rearrange (at no extra charge). Similarly, if it rains unexpectedly on the day of your photoshoot, I will be in touch to discuss options and look at either rearranging for later on in the day, or another date (at no extra charge).
What if my dog can’t go off the lead? Can we still get good pictures?
Every dog is different, therefore so is every photoshoot. I pride myself on tailoring every photoshoot to meet the client and their dog’s needs. I have experience photographing dogs who can’t stand still and dogs who don’t want to move! If your dog cannot go off the lead, it is absolutely no problem. A lead (which matches with the dog’s colouring and the client’s outfit) can be a lovely accessory in a range of photographs. Or if you would prefer, there are clever tricks we can do during the photoshoot and through post production to hide or remove the lead including using a retractable lead which is very easy to edit out during post production.
What should I wear if I want to be in the photographs?
If you or your family would like to be in the photographs, I recommend avoiding patterns and coordinating with your canine’s colouring. Also ensure that everyone is colour coordinated with each other. Once you have booked in, I will send links to some outfit guides which should help to give you inspiration, or I am more than happy to have a phone call or Skype call to help with any questions.
